Quad-Core Intel Processors
Nearly all of our servers feature quad-core Intel processors. Not just one, though. Or two. Or even three. But four! That’s right, our servers feature four quad-core Intel processors, each having four cores, for a grand total of sixteen cores. That’s some pretty hardcore processing power right there. At EarthVPS, you will never be short on processing power.
Loads of RAM
EarthVPS servers typically have in excess of 48GB of RAM, which is plenty to keep our servers stable and support whatever memory-hungry applications you need to use on your VPS. We also ensure there is a “cushion” of memory, so that there is enough memory for everybody with room to spare.
Spacious Hard Drives with RAID 10
Our hard drives come about as big as they get, and we use multiple drives in a RAID 10 configuration to ensure integrity and security of data as well as maximization of disk I/O. What this means is, your data will be safe and secure without sacrificing any VPS performance. Your data is mirrored across multiple hard drives so that in the highly unlikely event that one of them fails, your data is safe on one of the other drives. Your data is also striped, meaning it is divided across multiple drives to maximize performance.
Gigabit Networking
EarthVPS servers come with gigabit networking capabilities, which means that our networking speeds are pretty dang fast! You won’t have to worry about fighting anybody for bandwidth, and you will have the piping you need to keep your websites fast and running smoothly.

As a primarily Linux VPS provider, EarthVPS needs to provide a variety of Linux flavors to fit whatever needs a person has. For example, if you need to use cPanel for your hosting, you generally need CentOS. We offer CentOS 4 and 5, so you can be sure that you will have the requirements for cPanel to run smoothly.
Or, if you’re like me, you prefer Debian for your operating system. Debian happens to be one of my favorites, although it actually isn’t supported by cPanel, but sometimes I don’t need cPanel (such as when running my IRC server, which is fully supported by EarthVPS by the way).
Unfortunately, EarthVPS does not support other OS’s like FreeBSD or Windows, however we are currently working to provide Windows VPS hosting for people who need it.
